His educational foundation from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, coupled with invaluable experiences from prestigious institutions like CMC Vellore and Railway Hospital, Perambur(One of the biggest cardiac surgery centers), equipped him with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in his field. However, his encounter with the eminent heart surgeon Dr. K. M. Cherian (Padma Shri awardee) in 2003 marked a pivotal turning point in his career.
Working alongside Dr. Cherian at Malar Hospital and Frontier Lifeline Hospital, Chennai, Dr. Pankaj honed his craft under the guidance of a true luminary in cardiac surgery. This mentorship enriched his technical expertise and instilled in him a profound sense of compassion and commitment to patient care. Among the many highlights of his journey, he had the privilege of meeting the late President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam (Bharat Ratna awardee), which was undoubtedly a momentous occasion that further inspired him to strive for excellence in his profession.

Through his NGO, Janus Initiatives, he champions social causes, providing educational scholarships to deserving students, conducting school health camps, and distributing hygiene kits to underprivileged children. At the heart of Dr. Pankaj's endeavors lies a commitment to empowerment in field of health & education. The establishment of SRUJAN, a Skill Training Centre in Bahraich, stands as a testament to his vision of nurturing talent and fostering socio-economic empowerment at the grassroots level. He has started a “Skill Training Centre” – SRUJAN at Bahraich in 2022, where school children are being given training for Computer, Hindi, English & Maths to equip them for a better future. There are Sewing machines for girls & ladies of the villages well.
Empowering Communities: Dr. Pankaj's Philanthropic Journey
Following projects are being undertaken by Janus Initiatives.
1) Meritorious Student Scholarship Programme – At present Dr. Pankaj provided scholarship to 23 students after passed 12th class for a period of 3 years at Rs 12,000/year and 28 students have been completed their scholarship.
2) School Health Programme -Dr. Pankaj have developed an app with technical support of DocsNear.me & conduct school health camps in different areas of UP.
3) Hygiene Kit Distribution Programme – Dr. Pankaj feels if children are made to practice hygienic habit, we can reduce diarrheal death by about 50% in last 4-5 year we have distributed more than 20,000 Hygiene kits all over UP.
We have also distributed about 5 lakh masks free of cost in all over India during the covid period.
4) Health Camps - We keep conducting free health camps in rural areas. Our endeavour is to ensure that people in rural areas can easily get the services of specialist doctors in big cities.
5) Digital Devipatan Abhiyan - We are trying to spread digital literacy at very grassroot levels in Devipatan Mandal includes 4 districts namely Gonda, Bahraich, Balrampur & Shravasti.
